Quality of life at work : a lasting commitment at M-extend

A week of celebrations on this topic to highlight lasting actions.

As part of Quality of life at work week, organized from June 17 to 20, our M-extend France sites in Acigné (35) and Loudun (86) offered various activities focused on well-being and sport, such as pilates, sophrology or even other workshops on cardiac coherence and sedentary lifestyles at work. These moments of sharing were greatly appreciated by our employees and illustrate our engagement all along the year in this area.

Here some examples of actions carried out in 2023 by our company :

Work environment

M-extend has installed LED lighting in all its factories around the world, providing both improved lighting for the comfort of our employees and a reduction in our energy consumption. Moreover, electric charging stations have been installed to encourage the use of electric vehicles. In addition, we provide electric bikes for our employees, enabling them to choose an alternative for their drives.

Health

We have pursued the assessment of workstation ergonomics to reduce the physical strain on operators at their workstations. In October, breast cancer prevention workshops were organized to raise awareness of the importance of self-exam. Employees shared their impressions about these prevention workshops : “I discovered some things I didn’t know before. It will be useful.” ; “These discussions have been rewarding and it was easy to speak freely.” ; “The workshops reminded me the importance of screening.”

Managerial transformation

The managerial transformation approach of our company, initiated in 2019, aims to turn each manager into both a leader and a coach for their team. It places cooperation at the heart of our corporate culture. To reinforce a shared management, several actions were carried out in 2023 : the assessment of managers by their work team, organization of co-development sessions and collective workshops.

Skills and career paths

Information meetings about Personal Training Account (PTA) and Professional Prevention Account were held, with the participation of a professional development advisor. Finally, we also offered information sessions about retirement and workshops about climate fresk.
