Celebrating Quality of Life at Work

A week of celebration dedicated to a theme that remains at the heart of the company’s priorities all year long.

As part of the Quality of Work Life Week, held from June 16 to 19, our M-extend France sites in Acigné (35) and Loudun (86) offered a range of activities focused on health, well-being, and sport. These included Pilates sessions, seated massages, and workshops on addiction prevention. These moments of sharing were greatly appreciated by our employees.

The Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions Week is a key moment to highlight all the initiatives implemented throughout the year. Here are a few examples from 2024:

Company Vision and Management

Who makes the decisions, and how are they made? At M-extend, the answer is built collectively. With guidance from the Déclic collective, each manager works hand-in-hand with their team to define shared missions and distribute decision-making responsibilities. This approach, based on collective intelligence, encourages cooperation, reduces uncertainty, and ensures that daily practices are aligned with the Group’s core values: responsibility, boldness, and cooperation.

For three months, we invited our employees to take part in the Climate Challenges, with the aim of encouraging them to adopt more responsible habits, in line with our environmental commitments. Two themes were selected: responsible digital practices and sustainable food. Each theme included several mini-challenges and key moments designed to deepen understanding of best practices for everyday life.

Professional Dialogue and Social Dialogue

Last September, we launched a new internal communication tool, Steeple. It enables us to share information more instantly and allows every employee to interact and contribute.

We also hold Direct Dialogue sessions several times a year between management and elected representatives from the Works Council (CSE) or employees. The objective is to engage in open discussions and address questions on topics such as company strategy and working conditions. These sessions provide employees with clear and precise answers to their concerns, while allowing management to better understand the employees’ priorities and issues.

Workplace Health

A mental health awareness day was organized for all managers at M-extend France. The goal was to better recognize the signs of psychological distress and to adopt the appropriate responses when supporting someone in difficulty.

We also offered a nutrition workshop focused on snacks adapted to the schedules of our shift-working employees, aiming to help them adopt healthy eating habits and maintain energy and alertness.

In November, we launched the Gentlemen’s Challenge, where participating employees grew moustaches to raise awareness about men’s cancers. Continuing this prevention effort, the « No Tobacco Month » provided an opportunity to offer personalized support with a tobacco cessation nurse over a four month period.

Finally, as part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we launched the Vigilance Attitude program. The aim of this initiative is to train our employees and raise awareness by teaching them the right behaviors to adopt at work, on the road, and at home. This approach is designed to strengthen the company’s safety culture.

Skills et career paths

This year, to further develop our training plan, 11,530 hours of training were delivered, with 3,047 hours conducted in-house. A particular focus this year was placed on workplace health and environmental awareness. In total, 99% of our employees have completed non-mandatory training over the past 3 years.

    • 100% of our managers attended a mental health awareness day.
      • 26% of M-extend France employees have participated in a Climate Fresco workshop, and we will reach 100% by the end of the year.
        • 00% of our managers attended a planetary boundaries awareness session.
          • 100% of M-extend France’s department heads and directors participated in « The Week » experience, which addresses the environmental crisis.
            • Two of our leaders have joined the « Industries » and « Ouest » programs of the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC).
            • In 2024, we were fortunate to receive the Breton Professional Retraining Trophy from Transition Pro Bretagne in the « Company » category, recognizing our support for employees undergoing professional retraining.
