Quality of work life: actions throughout the year at M-extend, and a special celebration in June.
As part of the Quality of work life Week held from June 19 to 23, the two M-extend France production sites (Acigné-35 and Loudun-86) organized a number of events to share experiences and discover new activities.
This year’s activities focused mainly on well-being and sport: self-massage workshops, micro-naps, tai chi, Nordic walking, reflexology and yoga, all teached by professionals.

The week ended at each of our sites with a moment of conviviality during the “Fête de la Musique” (music week). A picnic around a concert and games like shuffleboard and table soccer to relax in the bright sunshine. Some employees even joined in the fun by singing or playing a musical instrument.

This Quality of Work Life Week is a special event but we take actions all the year to address these issues.
Training
During the year, we offer a range of personal development training courses, including :
an introduction to first aid, adapting to digital technology, a personality inventory, preparation for retirement and the Voltaire project.
Our ambition is for 100% of our employees to have received at least one training course in the last three years.
Conviviality
presentations of the company’s projects and objectives or the staff garden party in July before the summer vacations. For new arrivals, we offer a half-day induction session to help them discover the company and meet other employees.
Health
Workshops on nutrition for shift workers have been organized and are planned again this year. In addition, 60 female employees have already signed up for self-palpation workshops to prevent breast cancer during the national « pink October » campaign. In November, a nurse from the Saint Laurent clinic will be helping volunteer employees to give up smoking as part of Smoke-Free Month.
Environment
We have been awarded the Gold label for « sustainable mobility », promoting public transport, cycling and car-sharing. Car-sharing coffee enable you to find a car-sharer near you, so you can reduce your fuel consumption and save money. What’s more, electrically-assisted bicycles can be loaned to our employees for a year as part of several partnerships we have.
Work-life balance
For non-executives, the 4.5-day week has been introduced, or alternating between 4 and 5 days. A teleworking agreement has also been put in place, allowing eligible employees to work two days a week from home. For employees who are parents, a partnership has been set up with the Babilou nursery.
Collaborative management
We have set up direct dialogues between employees and management, as well as training courses for more participative management.
